Ways to use Slots

Small setups that are awkward in a normal workout app and take one slot here — with the actual screens where we have them.

You have ten core exercises you like

And you keep finding more. But planning a week normally means committing up front — this exercise on this line, that one on that line. Those are the ones you do, and the rest sit in your library unused.

In Slots

Add Core to the slot instead. Want to hit it three times on Friday? Add three Core slots. When you train, each one opens your whole core list and you pick — three different exercises that day, decided on the day.

Hit a muscle twice a week

You want lats on Wednesday and again on Saturday. Normally that means choosing two exercises, adding them to two different days, and keeping track of what you put where.

In Slots

Open the muscle and you see every slot it has and which day each one falls on. Add a slot, pick the day, done — and the exercise is still yours to choose when you get there.

You are not sure your program is balanced

Chest and arms always feel covered. But you could not say how many sets your rear delts or hamstrings actually get in a week, and it is the kind of thing you only notice months later.

In Slots

Program balance lists every muscle group with the sets a week your slots give it, biggest first. Tap a group to see the individual muscles underneath.

You do the same warm-up every single time

Warm-ups and stretches are the first thing to go. You write one in, do it for a month, get bored of it, and start going straight to the working sets.

In Slots

These get slots too. Add a Legs warm-up and a Legs stretch — or three of each — and every one opens your whole list of leg warm-ups or leg stretches. A different one whenever you feel like it, none of them decided in advance.

Ten minutes of mobility, never the same ten

You want a stretch before work or before bed. Every creator posts a different ten-minute routine, you save a few, and then you either grind the same one until you are sick of it or you do none of them.

In Slots

Build the session out of ten Mobility slots. Every slot opens everything you have collected under Mobility, so you choose as you go — ten that feel right this morning, ten different ones tomorrow. Same ten minutes, never the same ten exercises.

You want to add weight, not variety

Choosing freely is great until you are grinding a number up. Progress needs the same lift, week after week.

In Slots

Pin the exercise to the slot for a few weeks. It stops asking and just shows that lift with last week’s numbers, so all you have to do is beat them. Unpin it when you want the choice back.

Two sessions in one day

Lift in the morning, conditioning after work — two separate sessions on the same day, and you want both of them to count.

In Slots

A day can hold more than one. Keep them as alternatives you choose between, or let them rotate week to week so both get their turn.

The demo video is never the one you want

Built-in exercises come with a generic clip, and the cue that finally made the lift click for you is in a video somewhere else.

In Slots

Put your own video on any exercise — including the built-in ones. Your library is yours, so Bench Press can show your form, or the clip from the lifter who taught it to you.

Not every day is a lifting day

Mobility, conditioning and cardio are real work, but no single muscle describes them.

In Slots

Use a collection instead. Mobility, Plyometrics, Conditioning, Cardio and Power are built in, you can make your own, and each takes a slot exactly like a muscle does.

You would rather not plan at all

You know you should follow something. You do not want to spend an evening building it.

In Slots

Answer a few questions — days you train, how long you have, muscle or strength — and Slots builds the whole week. Change anything afterwards, or never touch it again.

Finally do the exercises you save

Your split, your muscles, your saves — in a program you'll actually follow.
